Michiel van Vossen, based in Steenwijk, the Netherlands, is the founder and designer behind Van Vossen Tenders, specializing in crafting traditional Dutch sloeps and tenders. With years of experience in the industry, he combines modern design with a high level of functionality, ensuring that each vessel not only meets aesthetic standards but also provides a comfortable and enjoyable experience on the water.
Michiel is the Dutch designer for Tampubolon Sloep, tasked with tailoring designs specifically for the Asian market. We are gratefull for such a great partnership.
T-Sloep
Darta Tampubolon, originally from Indonesia, has been spending most of his life living and working on various ships, from small vessels to cruiseships world wide. He spent the last 16 years living in the Netherlands, integrating his cultural background with his experiences in this environment.
Darta gained a wealth of experience from his Dutch education in the Maritime sector and working as an engineer on various vessels under Dutch Flag all over the world.
While living in the Netherlands he worked for various yachting companies as a service engineer but now Darta is eager to apply his expertise in his homeland of Indonesia. He would like to help boost tourism, while also contributing to the development of Indonesia's maritime sector.
The Dutch sloeps, known for their durability and suitability for leisurely outings, are currently not produced in Indonesia, presenting a unique opportunity for Darta Tampubolon. By introducing these beautiful boats, he can offer Indonesian families a new way to explore nature while enjoying quality time together on the water and to spend time outdoors.
Inspired by his ambition to start his own company, Darta decided to approach Michiel van Vossen, to create specific sloeps tailored for the Indonesian market.
